The Kingston Close whole-home renovation was designed around one goal: making every room in the home feel elevated, beautiful and completely tailored to homeowners’ lifestyle.
From the showstopping kitchen to the fully finished basement, every detail was considered with hosting, elevated daily routines, and long-term quality in mind.

The Showstopping Kitchen
Everything in this kitchen was reconfigured: the layout, the storage, the lighting, and every detail in between.
We anchored the kitchen with a long, linear island with a waterfall countertop edge, generous storage, seating on the back, and a built-in bookcase at the far end for display and recipe books. The large oversized sink and beautiful pendant lighting make it as functional as it is remarkable to look at.
The quartz countertop runs seamlessly up the wall as a backsplash, eliminating grout lines and creating a clean, minimalist surface.
Outlets were relocated to the underside of the upper cabinets, keeping the backsplash completely uninterrupted. Inside the drawers, integrated knife storage, tailored cutlery inserts, and LeMans corner units ensure that every inch of the kitchen is effortless and efficient for daily use.
Tucked just off the main kitchen behind a custom arched pocket door, the butler’s pantry is where the real work happens. A wall-mounted microwave, integrated prep counter and sink, appliance garage, and pull-out garbage and recycling keep their utensils and appliances hidden and organized.
Everything the homeowners need for prep and cleanup happens behind the scenes in the butler’s pantry, so the main kitchen stays effortlessly clean when their guests arrive.
The Inviting Living Room and Dining Room
Rather than relying on a single overhead light source, the living room was designed with many distinct layers of lighting that create a cozy, inviting energy.
The fireplace the client selected casts a serene glow that makes the homeowner want to curl up on the couch for hours.
Wall sconces inside the arched niches bordering the fireplace add a warm light to the room and illuminate the display items on the floating shelves, while additional sconces on the fireplace bump out cast different shadows and create depth that draws you into the living room.
The result is a space that feels moody, warm, and inviting.
What started as a plain wall in the dining room became one of the most remarkable design details in the home.
We designed and installed a recessed arched buffet niche with sconce lighting and built-in cabinetry to create a natural serving zone between the kitchen and the dining room. It’s practical for hosting, and a beautiful architectural detail that ties into the arched elements throughout the rest of the home.
The Basement: An Extension of the Home
The fully finished basement extends the home’s livability with a dedicated home office and gym, a cozy reading nook, a dry bar and media area, a bedroom, and a bathroom.
An awkward corner in the basement became a custom library wall, one of the most loved features in the home. The reading nook reflects the homeowners’ love of books, creating a quiet place to unwind after a long day. Privacy screens define the space from the main living room without closing it off, and built-in storage was designed around the homeowners’ book collection.
In the bedroom, we transformed a small alcove into the focal point of the room with wall paneling, a moody accent colour, and carefully placed sconces. The texture of the paneling adds depth, and the warm, directional light from the sconces elevates the finish of the bedroom.
