We recently completed a major main-floor and kitchen renovation with Contact Renovations, and we are thrilled with the results. As detail-oriented homeowners, we set a high bar for craftsmanship and execution, and the Contact team delivered completely. Right from the start, the extensive time Paul and his designer spent during the planning and design phase built a deep sense of trust and confidence. Throughout the project, the team remained professional, highly transparent, and respectful of our home. They guided us through all the design choices and changes that naturally come with a major project. When the inevitable hiccups arose, they brought clear options and resolved issues promptly. Even with a few last-minute delays beyond their control, Contact kept the overall project on schedule, allowing us to move back into our home right on time. Every completion list item and follow-up fix was handled quickly and efficiently. We love our newly transformed space. We are extremely pleased with the experience of having Contact renovate our kitchen. Right from the initial meeting Paul listened closely to our concerns and had creative ideas on solutions. The designer worked closely with us and our style preferences to render our ideas into a tangible and pragmatic design. They balanced their experience during design decisions, while respecting and being open to our own aesthetic preferences and vision.  The project team. led by Ryan, was conscientious in providing a plan and stages for the renovation, and were responsive to our queries and comments throughout the life of the project. This staged approach was methodological, structured, and logical. No kitchen renovations goes to the exact plan, and we understand that -- and want to acknowledge that the Contact team was responsive to any concerns and mistakes, making significant and authentic efforts to ensure we were happy with the results. Our site manager, Francois was exceptional, demonstrating his expert-know-how, problem-solving, and advocacy for what was best and what we wanted. Our finishing carpenter, Chad, was creative and thoughtful to detail. Paul was accessible throughout the project, and we appreciated his wisdom throughout the process. Our overall experience with Contact was excellent. We undertook an extensive basement and main floor bathroom renovation that we'd been putting off for many years. We knew there would likely be surprises along the way because we have an older home, so it was critical to us that we find a contractor familiar with renovating older homes. We chose Contact after Paul explained the communication platform they use to keep the client informed about the schedule, payments and messaging functions, which we really appreciated having access to throughout both projects and which kept us feeling informed and involved. François, Katie, Ryan, Chad, Stephanie, and Paul were all excellent and professional throughout. When unexpected issues and subsequent costs arose, Paul and Katie worked to find ways to keep us on budget. Our renovation is now complete and we are thrilled with the result...our old house feels brand new and we love it. We will definitely work with Contact again for our next project. The Contact Renovations team was truly excellent to work with. We were kept in the loop throughout the entire process, and given options to consider along the way. The team considered our budget, requests and timelines in the planning of the full project. Highly recommend going with one of their associated Interior Designers (shoutout to Chelsey @EBO Design) to help elevate your renovation ideas. Every trade team involved was friendly, professional and did high quality work. It was massive to have a crew that was so organized, responsive and patient with us and our family. We are incredibly pleased with the final space that now suits our needs and we are proud to show to our family and friends. We hired Contact Renovations to renovate our kitchen and up grade  flooring this past fall. All cabinets were replaced, new island installed, appliances relocated, walls removed and a new arch built between kitchen and living room. Upgraded all pot lights and fixtures. All walls on main floor repainted. We are very pleased with the quality of the work done and how Paul and his team communicated with us throughout the project. Contact Renovations did a garage rebuild project for us this spring/summer (2024) that is a significant upgrade from our fairly dilapidated, very small, unheated, mouse compromised single garage. We’ve gone from having no real sidewalks, a crumbling driveway, and getting into a snow covered, ice cold vehicle to having a garage that we love. Paul was upfront in our first conversation about a realistic lowest possible budget when I explained what we were looking for and I appreciated that transparency. We hit a wild snag very early on in our time together when the City of Edmonton became passionately invested in a tree planted by a previous owner that was partly on our land and partly on city land. The tree has maybe 6-8 good years left, but the City was adamant that it be protected at all costs (and all of those costs of course fell to us and Contact Renovations, as did the threat of a $20,000 fine should anything happen to The Tree). We were grateful to be working with Paul and the designer, Michelle, who he works with because they did all of the heavy lifting in terms of coordinating with the city and applying (and reapplying) for all of the necessary permits. Having a team navigating that process was incredibly valuable, as the industry experts at Contact had way more contextual knowledge than we will ever have. They were patient with us when we got to the final proposal and contract stage and we realized something we thought we wanted was not actually what we wanted, which led to Contact having to rethink a few things and come up with an alternate solution. We appreciated that they were invested in making sure we ended up with what we wanted and needed from this garage. They also sourced multiple subcontractor quotes, and in many cases found more economical (but still high quality) options for us. All of the subcontractors communicated with Paul or Garrett and then anything that needed our input was filtered over to us via an online tool which was a smooth way to handle that process. Anytime anyone in a red Contact truck was at our house they were super friendly and helpful, and understanding that we had two dogs who needed to have part of our yard fenced off throughout the project. We mostly work from home so we were here to overhear a few conversations Paul had with subcontractors. Having him on deck to push everyone to do high quality work and in a few cases, to make improvements to meet his and our standards was very important. There were a couple of times when it felt like he was really having to go to bat for us, and we’re grateful that he was able to manage those interactions as he knew the right things to say to everyone. Were there a few little snags along the way? Sure, but I can’t think of many large projects that go off perfectly when there are so many moving pieces all the time. It’s natural for things to come up here and there and we were very happy with the solutions we came to with Paul's help along the way. This is our third major renovation at this property, and Contact Renovation is the only one of those three companies we will recommend to anyone and we would definitely work with them again!

Contact Renovations did an excellent job finishing our garage and we are happy we were able to get it finished before winter came. I really like their app as it allowed for real time updates on schedule and messaging was flawless. Also, they are very flexible. We told them we wanted to install an EV charger before insulation and drywalling, while using our own contractor. We were able to adjust the schedule accordingly.
