This is the second time we have called on Contact Renovations because we had such a good experience the first time around. That first time was a complex gutting and rebuild in a high rise condo. This time it was a smaller renovation/repair job which was handled just as professionally. There was good and easy communication with all Contact staff throughout the process. Because we were living in our suite during the renovations, Contact went out of their way to make sure we were not inconvenienced and their workspace was kept very clean on a daily basis.

When we were looking to have our kitchen remodelled, which ended up being the entire main floor, we were seeking a contractor that could provide us with a certain level of assurance that we could achieve our goals within a provided budget. Not only did they provide us with an accurate estimate on the work, they completed the work on time which was no small feat considering the scope of the work being completed. Communication, design assistance, ideas on how to make everything work…everything was top notch. Contact did a complete kitchen renovation for us this past fall, plus updates to the rest of the main floor, plus updates to two bathrooms. Overall, we are extremely happy with how it turned out!
We liked Paul as soon as he came to have a look at the house, when he gave us some initial ideas of what the space could look like. Everybody we dealt with was professional and friendly. They were also open and honest about the budget and any changes to it, and the scope of work was done in incredible detail before anything started. Katie worked extremely hard on the schedule to fit it all into the two months we were out of the house. And despite the pandemic, almost everything was done on time, which is pretty amazing.
Most importantly, the design is gorgeous and very high quality, especially the kitchen cabinets. We love the new kitchen/living room space, and couldn’t even have imagined how good it would turn out.
My husband & I hired Contact Renovations to do a complete house renovation… right down to the bones. Everything was replaced. It was a huge project as walls were moved, removed & added. Along with adding more square footage to our home, by constructing a complete new office space upstairs. We did move out of our house for 6 months while this was all going on.

The project was completed on schedule. I spoke to Paul or his team everyday while this project was going on, so the communication and trust throughout this whole project was excellent. There was never any surprises or changes without thorough explanations & discussions.

Working with Paul and his Contact team was an overall great experience. Quality work, open communication, and outstanding guidance through our entire reno. We started off only hiring Contact for new doors and windows, but were so impressed with Paul’s attention to detail that we ended up adding two interior projects as well…and plan on two more in the near future! To match the excellent quality of workmanship, the Contact crew were very professional, kind, accountable and paid particular attention to cleanliness. The Contact team was an amazing team of professionals. From the beginning their design team started the creative process, their project management team was detailed and communicative and their team of trades professionals were experts in completing their aspects of the project. It was always great to see the progress they made every day and work through this process with a team we could trust with our home.
We worked with Contact to bring a small renovation in our dining room/entry way to life. Every part of the process was extremely professional and well executed from the planning to final cleaning. We especially appreciated the use of an online portal to access project management documents and messaging. When we hit a slight delay, communication was very prompt and Paul was able to find a great solution. We would highly recommend them and are already dreaming up future projects.
We ended up having to do a renovation to fix some previously botched Renos. The project ended up being a completely take down and rebuild of our main floor. Including some pretty substantial structural repairs. Throughout the entire process, Paul completely understood our concern for the cost of an unexpected reno and our desire to get it fix right. He was always upfront and honest about pricing and we completed the project with minimal change orders. His team of tradespeople were always professional and knowledgeable. They took pride in their work and it showed. My husband, being in the trades himself, was pretty particular and Paul always listened to his concerns and addressed them in a timely manner. We are so thankful to everyone at Contact Renovations for getting us back into the home we love.
We needed a main floor renovation to move our fireplace and living room , front entry and mud room redesigned, install backsplash in the kitchen. We contacted them sometime in September and we immediately got a response and set up the initial meeting. Estimates were fair. From design planning to actual renovation completion we are very satisfied with the professionalism of the team. If we have some issues, it is right away taken cared of. The trades that were involved finished their job as per schedule. During the COVID 19 pandemic we were given assurance that all workers were safe to work in our home. Everyone involved was respectful and polite. Our renovation finished way ahead of our schedule, on budget and gave us the result of what we wanted. .We truly appreciate their combined efforts. Great team to work with!
I was very impressed with the professionalism of Paul and his entire staff. They all worked hard to make sure my renovation was completed on time even though the pandemic situation required that only one tradesperson was on-site at a time. Every effort was made to keep everyone safe and healthy. without sacrificing workmanship. Paul also made sure that the lines of communication were always open so that any issues/changes/options were fully discussed and agreed upon. All in all, I consider this renovation to be a great success. All renovation projects are stressful, but the results this time made it worthwhile.
We own a condo in a high rise in downtown Edmonton, and when we decided to renovate it we were extremely lucky to find Paul and Contact Renovations to do it. We have built and renovated homes in the past, and would absolutely recommend Contact to anyone. In short, Paul did a custom renovation with high quality cabinetry, workmanship and standards, and gave us total peace of mind and extremely fair, competitive costs versus other options we were initially considering. Our condo board was replacing our flooring and we decided to do a pretty extensive renovation to the kitchen and living areas of our condo. We started looking at a number of options to do this, including the standard cabinet and building suppliers as well as custom renovators and builders. We soon found that the capability and cost of the reno was highly variable and most options left us with a number of questions/concerns or led to pricing that seemed too high and not really transparent. At that point we called Paul and, following our initial meetings, we didn’t look back. From the time we met him it was clear that his knowledge and capability was high, his estimates were fully transparent on his costs of materials, labour, profits, etc., and all were tied specifically to the work scopes and items we were undertaking. Paul also provided great input for us to consider in finalizing the scope, both in the form and function of the designs and in cost trade-offs and options. As we finalized our scope and got started, Paul’s estimates were extremely competitive compared to all other options we had found for similar quality, and he gave us significantly higher confidence in his ability to do the work than others. Paul was also very accommodating in his willingness to work with the condo association’s flooring contractor and to install appliances, fixtures, blinds, etc. that we provided separately. As the work began and progressed, Paul and all of the people at Contact were a pleasure to work with. They are very personable and customer focussed, they have high work standards, and their craftsmanship is meticulous. The job site is never left in a mess, and respect for our neighbours in the condo was always a priority. Part way through the job, the condo association introduced a significant delay for Paul while exterior work was being assessed. Paul ended up having to stop and restart the job a few times, and he worked with all involved and around these new constraints while doing everything he could to not have us see change notices and cost escalation as a result. We really appreciated this and Paul went above and beyond what we have experienced before in this regard. The final disruption came when we decided to add some significant renovations to other parts of the condo to the job. Again Paul was amazing to work with, providing us quick and very competitive estimates and options to expand the job. He found synergies with the existing scope to keep the cost down, and we soon had an agreement with the same quality and transparency for the added work that we had for the original scope. When the job was finishing up, Paul did numerous walk throughs on our behalf and with us, and his attention to detail and standard of work was higher than ours – he spotted things he wasn’t happy with that we would never have noticed, and anything we found he simply addressed and never debated whether it needed followup or would cost more etc. The finished product was simply amazing, and we would never have been able to pull it all off without Paul and the folks at Contact. In the project close-out, Paul met with us and walked through all the invoices and work scopes, holding everything to his original estimates for the scopes of work. The whole process was totally open, honest and transparent for us, and we had no points of contention or disagreement. Paul treated us very fairly and honestly from the beginning of the project to the end. in hindsight we are so happy with everything that we did and how it was managed by Paul and the folks at Contact Renovations.
