We transformed this penthouse from an outdated luxury condo into a remarkable, modern living space.
The kitchen was reimagined to maximize space and storage, replacing the cramped layout with custom two-tone cabinetry, gorgeous quartzite countertops and floating shelves for display. A mitered backsplash adds texture and depth to the design. The custom island adds storage & workspace, making it a beautiful focal point, great for a quick meal, food prep and entertaining guests. A new dropped ceiling incorporates LED pot & pendant lights, providing ambient and task lighting. A former kitchen closet was converted into an efficient wine room with striking black cabinets.
In the primary bedroom, two built-in closets were removed, replaced by a new walk-in closet, which opened up the space to better accommodate the king-size bed. The doorway was repositioned to create room for armoires, and a dropped ceiling panel was added to centre the lighting fixture – adding a subtle design feature.
The ensuite was enlarged and reconfigured to create space for a dual sink vanity, spacious walk-in shower and ample storage. The floating shower bench conceals the drain and the shower ledge provides storage and hides the drain pipes. The wall-mounted taps and bold countertop and splash design perfectly complement the custom cabinetry and large format tile.
