What We Created

These homeowners wanted to update their main floor, while improving flow and functionality within the high-use areas of their home. We reconfigured the kitchen, creating a more inviting space with improved access, storage, and lighting. The eating area was expanded to create more seating space around the table, with custom drawers beneath to maximize storage in the sunken living area.

This area’s fireplace was updated with a new linear gas unit, paired with custom cabinets and bookcases. The ceiling height was raised and unsightly bulkheads removed.  The rear entry and laundry room were completely reconfigured, resulting in a nice open concept boot room with custom bench and cubby unit, a spacious laundry area with utility sink, quartz countertops, subway tile and custom cabinetry. The main living room had the existing fireplace and two-story brick chimney demolished and replaced to allow for a modern linear gas fireplace with minimal bump-out into the room.  The fireplace was cladded with a porcelain tile with a natural concrete appearance, with new sconce lighting to display artwork.
