WHAT WE CREATED

This was a full kitchen/main floor renovation, with a sunroom addition.

Our clients had a dream for their kitchen: a bright, open space where they could entertain family and friends while feeling connected to the outdoors. Style-wise, they wanted a mid-century design aesthetic that complimented their existing furnishings.

To achieve their vision, we integrated a showstopping 10’ folding window system. The windows provide a direct sightline to the yard, the ability to serve and host guests directly from the kitchen into the sunroom, and tons of natural lighting all in one stunning, unique feature.

In the kitchen, the combination of white and rift oak two-tone cabinets combined with light-coloured quartz countertops and a geometric backsplash tile put a modern twist on mid-century design. The vintage globe lights fit perfectly, and we added LED panel lights and undercabinet lighting as additional light sources to further brighten the space.  The island features a clever pop-up range hood which provides excellent ventilation without obstructing the view or reducing counter space.

Lastly, the sunroom addition is not to be missed. The 10′ folding door and window system allows the outdoors to come in. A wood-burning stove, pine floor, wall and ceiling cladding, and vaulted ceilings make for a truly cozy, cabin vibe.⠀
