This renovation involved an overhaul of the kitchen and main floor. Our goal was to create an open, inviting space that enhances the functionality of the home, while incorporating stylish design elements. The clients desired a more modern look with improved storage solutions and a layout that facilitates better movement throughout the space.

The Kitchen Transformation

Improved Flow

We removed a load-bearing wall to create an open-concept kitchen and dining area. This change not only improved the flow between the two spaces but also allowed for more natural light to fill the room, creating a bright and welcoming environment.

Maximized Storage

Maximizing storage was a key objective in this renovation. We installed custom cabinetry from Superior Cabinets with deep drawers and pull-out shelves to ensure every inch of space was utilized efficiently. A large pantry cabinet provides ample storage for dry goods and kitchen essentials, keeping the countertops clutter-free.

Modern Design

The kitchen’s new look is a contemporary, yet timeless design. Sleek white cabinetry, quartz countertops from Alberta Granite, and a stylish subway tile backsplash create a clean and elegant appearance.

The addition of a central island not only offers extra prep and storage space but can also serve as a focal point for gatherings and casual dining. By adding bar stools, you could even transform it into a breakfast bar!

Main Floor Upgrades

Accent Wall

By reconfiguring the layout, we created distinct yet cohesive spaces for living and dining. The use of consistent design elements, such as coordinating color palettes and materials, ensures a seamless transition from one room to the next.d

Functional Enhancements

Additional improvements included installing a built-in bench with storage to create a more efficient layout for the dining room. This simple change not only boosted the home’s functionality, but also added to its overall charm and appeal.
